Monica’s place was beautiful! It was an extremely comfortable stay for a group of 8 people. Kitchen was well stocked with all the gadgets/essentials, beds were comfortable, home was pristine and beautiful. We absolutely loved LOVED our stay on Monica’s stunning property. Our family weekend getaway was to celebrate our dad’s birthday and Sweet Salal home gave us everything and beyond what we could’ve imagined. The home is stunningly gorgeous – pristine and quiet, well kept and cozy. Even in the midst of winter – the grounds were a beautiful site to look out onto from the many windows. Monica and her co-hosts were responsive and friendly, and we felt went above and beyond in accommodating us. We were lucky enough to experience a stormy weekend on Bowen – but Monica’s home had a back-up generator and our trip was uninterrupted. It could not had been a more perfect weekend. If you are looking to unplug from the city and have a relaxing time away – Monica’s home has earned our highest recommendation and we’ll 100% be back!

Sweet Salal was gorgeous and actually nicer than what the photos showed. It’s got a spacious kitchen and lots of room inside and outside. The bathrooms had heated floors which was a nice touch. Would definitely recommend.

I can’t put into words how beautiful this house & garden is. Monica was so lovely. She showed me around and was there if I needed anything. She lives on the property and takes care of the vast gardens.
The location of the house was perfect & private. So appreciate the gate and vastness of the estate. It was beyond clean, so well thought through & had the best chief kitchen.
The beds were so comfortable! I even asked her where the sheets were from as I want them for my own home.
Love the island and all that Bowen has to offer. I spent much time at the many beaches and evenings by the fire pit in the back yard, made my trip.

This was the perfect place to relax and recharge. The location is perfect, nestled in a quiet area with lush greenery and stunning views. It felt like a hidden gem. Monica was incredibly hospitable, ensuring everything was ready for our arrival and providing thoughtful touches and recommendations throughout my stay. The house even had fresh bouquets ❤️
The interior is a blend of modern comforts with cozy, rustic charm. The living space and bedrooms are spacious and comfortable, with large windows that let in plenty of natural light and provided breathtaking views of the property
The outdoor space was the selling point for us. The deck was an amazing spot to relax with a book or enjoy a morning coffee while soaking in the tranquility of the surroundings. In the evenings, the fire pit area was perfect for unwinding under the stars.
